- 1 heaping tsp finely ground Turkish coffee
- 100 ml (about 3.4 fl oz) cold water
- 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
- Pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1-2 tsp sugar (to taste)
Combine Ingredients: In a cezve (Turkish coffee pot), add water, coffee, sugar, cardamom, and cinnamon. Do not stir yet.
Mix Gently: Place the cezve over low heat. Stir slowly until well combined, then stop stirring.
Slow Brew: Let the coffee heat gently. As foam starts to rise (before boiling), remove from heat.
Skim Foam: Spoon some of the foam into a small espresso cup. Return cezve to heat and let foam rise again.
Serve Carefully: Pour the remaining coffee slowly into the cup, letting grounds settle. Serve immediately without stirring.
